the semester pretty much zoomed by and i couldn't quite find the time to write, which is odd that I'm doing so now since all the major submissions are happening next week. There's still a lot of work to be done but I think I'm pacing myself decently!
Lighting and rending has been really interesting but there's just so much to learn 12 weeks is barely enough! I was really happy with my mid-term assignment but I think I could've done better on the final with a little more time. well, the learning only continues from here! (disclaimer- most models were taken from CGtrader and free3D, we worked mainly on the texturing, lighting and rendering as the name of the course states!)
I've always thought I don't quite have a style but I realised that it is slowly showing more, especially in my works this semester. hopefully it is not too much of a comfort zone thing!
I suppose the other highlight would be Animation Seminar. I'm working on a 2D short called "Ice Cream Cat". Here are some concept art and style tests!
It explores an unusual yet funny interaction between an ice cream cart uncle and a little cat!
There's also 3D character animation but there's nothing too much I can show at this point. But we're working on a dance sequence!
Looking forward to the completion of everything and also, the much needed break at the end of the semester!
