A Walk in the Park?

040119

Days at home have me feeling rather drowsy. Even with the constant noise from the construction I perpetually felt like napping.

So I decided to take what I read about lately - a coffee nap. I made myself a cup of old town black coffee and poured a dash of milk into it. I sipped it while writing yesterday's post and then plonked on my bed. I woke not long after feeling mildly jittery. Was it psychological? I got up, found the energy and motivation to get out of the house and headed for Botanic gardens, with the mind to get some inspiration.

The weather was nice albeit a little humid. I realised I'd forgotten the insect repellent.

I walked, feeling a little awkward. But soon it became so free and enjoyable and I felt a strange little joy in me. I wasn't quite examining the plants today but just enjoying being in the surroundings and walking.

purple flowers swaying gently next to the lake

I've always loved the little flowers that contain so much beauty in their littleness.

And the mighty trees that inspire some sense of awe.

To be honest, I wasn't particularly inspired to create anything in particular but I enjoyed the walk anyway. And I pray I'd still have time for these after school starts.

Another stay home day but I was determined to stop lazing around!

I got around to do some packing, helped to put away the Christmas Tree and ornaments and finally borrowed a table from the sister's room, which she said I could use since she didnt quite need it anymore.

Decided to start with something a little more carefree and made some basic solid colour beads. Which looked really great together. But I came to realise that stringing them together into and aesthetically pleasing piece of accessory can be quite a challenge and had to seek some opinions from the mum.

Also, finally got around to sorting my miniature ceramics - especially the ones I got from bangkok and Chiang Mai earlier last year and at the end of mission trip in december 2017 respectively.

Look at how beautiful and adorable the pieces are!

A little nervous but excited to start on a commission I just received from a friend.

Stay tuned for updates!
